Job Summary:

The purpose of a Rental Operations Coordinator is to streamline the rental process to be more efficient and affective for all involved departments.  This position will inspire customer engagement (both internal and external) to increase performance, improve utilization, and reduce response time.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma (minimum) or Comparable industry / product experience.
  • 1-5 years experience with Dealer Business Systems (DBS) functionality preferred.
  • iRent experience – preferable
  • Specialized Knowledge of work tool products and applications.
  • Effective Verbal and Written communication skills.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Overnight Travel – Low  1-3 days per month.
  • Permanent position – full-time

  • Primary responsibilities involve rental asset management from rent to roll
  • Riggs resident expert on Rental processes and procedures.
  • Managing the customer experience from customer receivable to return
  • A point of contact / communication between rental, service, and transportation
  • Assess all (any) property damage to machine and determine course of corrective action
  • Requires Application and Operation knowledge of work tool products and attachments offered by Riggs as well as machines
  • Ability to operate and recommend performance improvements for rental processes and procedures
  • Ensure proper product placement on yard and demo space
  • Assist customers with pickup of machines and attachments
  • Provide basic safety knowledge of machine and attachments to customers ensuring they understand proper usage and application
  • Ensure all rental items are line ready – fully operational, clean, and ready to rent
  • Owner of rental operations process from start to finish

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Conduct Inventory Analysis of store inventory
  • Equipment Check-in/out
  • Maintain sound financial decision making / customer satisfaction relationships.

Asset Management

  • Manage time and expenses for best use of company funds.
  • Monitor and recommend improvements in the rental process, including inventory control, rental damage, inspections, and make-ready

Merchandising

  • Proper display of equipment and attachment on yard and demo site

Leadership

Complete and maintain reports as required by the other Team members.

Financial Management

  • Follow all company proposed safety; performance and general conduct work rules.
  • Notify supervisor of any accidents or safety hazards observed.

Safety

  • Employee is frequently submitted to high levels of stress.
  • Position is considered active.
  • Office environment 50%, customer site, shop or yard 50%

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to exert 50 lbs. of force occasionally and 20 lbs. of force frequently.
  • Position requires reaching, grasping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and standing.
  • Position may be required to traverse rough or uneven ground and mounting machinery.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, for contact with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend information received via computer terminal, specification reports, financial contracts, technical/business correspondence and reports.

Communication is the Key to success, keeping everyone informed of problems and solutions and “EVERYONE” taking “RESPONSIBILITY” for the Rental Customers Satisfaction will ensure Riggs success in this market.

 

NOTES:

  • Position is subject to extended work hours and be on emergency call out rotation as business dictates.
  • Current and past performance in department assignments will be considered as a part of the selection process.
  • Transfers between departments are contingent upon realistic resolution of any vacancy caused by transfer from current department.
  • Duties may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

 

SALARY RANGE: Dependent upon experience
