Job Summary:

This is an operational position responsible for product support, sales, and rental customers.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 Year degree in Business or related field. (May be waived due to experience level)
  • 1 – 5 years Direct, customer-facing experience
  • Demonstrated Revenue, Profit, Time and Expense management
  • Intermediate EXCEL and WORD experience.
  • Identified Customer Relationship Management skills.
  • Limited travel 1-2 nights per month maximum.
  • Permanent Position – Mostly salary with some commission opportunities
  • Expected Revenue - $750,000 to $1.2 million in Revenue / Year.

Primary Responsibilities

 

 

 

  • The position of Inside Sales Representative is accountable to provide representation for J.A. Riggs to the assigned account listing.
  • Generate maximum revenues and profitability with customer lists.
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines, service and support capabilities, marketing programs and objectives relating to equipment rental and service to ensure effective representation of J.A. Riggs with customer.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers through phone solicitations to determine equipment and service needs and provide information concerning the availability of products offered by J.A. Riggs.
  • Assist in implementing department marketing programs designed to increase customer awareness of existing equipment, services and new products.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information.
  • Prepare necessary reports, summaries, and other information designed to provide accurate data to management regarding activities: Daily customer contact report, Open contract report, expense reporting, and other information necessary to support or monitor RAM effectiveness.
  • Work with the credit department to ensure that all customer accounts within assigned accounts are maintained and monitored in an acceptable manner to support retail activities, as well as assisting in the execution of all pertinent financial documents within the required time frame as required by Riggs management. Credit approval required before machine shipment.
  • Ensure/maintain effective relationships with customers
  • Will be selling parts, service and rental
  • Maintain a call list
  • Will be assigned an Individual Learning Plan
  • Ensure that personal conduct reflects favorably upon J.A. Riggs Tractor Company at all times. Honest and Ethical business practices are required.

 

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Help build and maintain a retail presence at your location.
  • Maintain an exceptionally strong working relationship with credit, parts, sales, rental and service functional areas.

Asset Management

  • Maintain maximum attainable profitability for J.A. Riggs on all transactions.
  • Lead generation for new and used machine sales.
  • Understand and comply with established rental, sales and service processes and policies.

 

Merchandising

  • Provide competitive information and solutions to management for review to assist in marketing plan development.
  • Maintain Call and Mail list name and address within Dealer Business Systems (DBS) for accuracy.
  • Provide Competitive Activity Reports (CTR) on all rental and sales lost opportunities. Reported monthly.

  • Job requires traversing rough and uneven ground and driving to and from customer and job sites.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert 25 lbs. of force occasionally and 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • Position requires reaching, grasping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and standing.
  • Position required traversing rough or uneven ground. Construction sites and customer locations.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, for contact with customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend information received via computer terminal, specification reports, memos & reports.
